ISLAMABAD: Opening batter Mohammad Huraira's fluent half-century stood out as Pakistan Shaheens ended day two at 212-9 against the West Indies in their warm-up match at the Islamabad Club Ground on Saturday.

Huraira top-scored for the Shaheens, hitting 13 fours in his brisk 73-ball knock of 74.

After the West Indies declared their first innings at 346-8 in 90 overs, the Shaheens faced early setbacks, losing Omair Bin Yousuf and skipper Imam-ul-Haq to slip to 41-2.

No. 4 batter Mohammad Suleman joined Huraira to rebuild the innings with a solid 78-run third-wicket partnership. Suleman contributed 45 off 79 balls, including seven fours, before falling leg-before to Gudakesh Motie. 

Huraira’s dismissal to Kevin Sinclair triggered a collapse, as the Shaheens lost seven wickets for just 92 runs.

Wicketkeeper-batter Rohail Nazir was the only other player to cross the 20-run mark, scoring a quick 21 off 36 balls with three boundaries.

For the West Indies, Kevin Sinclair was the standout bowler, taking 3-50. Jayden Seales (2-16) and Gudakesh Motie (2-21) were also effective, while Kemar Roach and Jomel Warrican chipped in with one wicket each.

Earlier, resuming their innings at 273-7, the West Indies added 73 runs to finish at 346-8. 

Amir Jangoo scored an unbeaten 63 off 92 balls, laced with eight fours and a six, while Sinclair contributed an unbeaten 28 off 36 deliveries.

The duo added an unbroken 56-run stand for the ninth wicket before the innings concluded. 

The only wicket to fall on day two was Joshua Da Silva, run out by Kashif Ali for 22.
